Stocks rise on deal talk (Reuters)
Reuters - U.S. stocks gained on Monday as the
heavily weighted energy sector was lifted by talk that oil
major ConocoPhillips is in talks to buy oil and gas
producer Burlington Resources Inc. for more than $30
billion.
